This tribe has been getting allot of worthless posts and I have decided to delete posts that are adverts or not in the appropicate catagory. If your post is gone please resubmit it. Please be mindful of what, where, and why you are submitting a new post.
Here are the rules for submission to Aspiring Film Makers. Failing to follow them will get your post deleted an kick/banned from Aspiring Film Makers.

1. Post Submissions in there own respective category. If you need assistance with something specific like a ride to an event, or people to help you on your film, post in the "Request" section. If you want to sell something, that goes it the "Listing" Section. Invitations or adverts to things such as film festivals go in the "Events" section, ect. Posting anything other that questions, responses, ideas or links/resources relating to production for film in the Main "Topics" section will get your post deleted and a kick/ban from Aspiring Film Makers, no exceptions.

2. If you want to post an image please keep it in the spirit of working towards film making. So a production photo showing someone working in a production environment is more appropriate than say, a head shot of you with your name and website included in the image in attempt to show your self off.

3. Your topic must be clear and concise. "???" for your topic is bad. "What's the best editing program for the PC" is Good. DON'T USE CAPS UNLESS YOU HAVE A GOOD REASON TO DO SO. If you don't have a clear and concise topic, I will email you and ask you or try to help you come with with a good topic and ask you to resubmit the post.

4. Don't promote your tribe here unless you have a specific reason to do so and you are a regular here. appropriate plugs happen when you are given a reason to talk about it in a discussion. If you join this tribe just to promote your tribe, the post will be deleted and you will be kicked/banned from Aspiring Film Makers, no exceptions. Have some class, you don't walk around plugging something in the real world with out a proper Etiquette. if you do walk around plugging your famous work arbitrarily please seek help.

not interested in people who just come here to post adverts. Im so sorry you dont like the rules. Personally, Id rather have a not very active tribe, then have one that people just use to get there promotions going.

        Thanks for your input though.

Ohh and BTW a tribe is only as active as its members, so there you have it.
          • as far as unrelated ads i agree to a certain extent but what gave me a buzz cut was "Post Submissions in there own respective category" because the guidelines seemed a bit stalinist to me, while i may not be filming or participating on anything right now i do want to read about it without having to check every catagory. as for the "Ohh and BTW a tribe is only as active as its members, so there you have it." statement well yes while that may be true if you put 12 hurdles in front of wallmart and make it mandatory for all patrons to hurdle them every time you will have alot less traffic at wallmart and alot more at other stores. accessability is key when you want to generate traffic, just like you cant take a stock honda up a rocky hillside. i wanted to add that i like the idea of this tribe and i like to read about related posts but i wonder if you could take some of those hurdles down so i can use the facilities without ripping my shorts, wadda ya think?
            • As I said I'm sorry you feel that way. I don't feel like its a big deal, the other categories are there for a reason. and if you don't like to surf per category you can just select all, that way you don't have to worry about it.

The rules are here to keep some sense of order, and thats the way its going to remain.
